That\u2019s the motto of\u00a0REMHAI<\/a>, an Atlanta-based technology solutions company dedicated to helping startups and small- and medium-sized businesses build and develop their digital presence.<\/p>\n Ramala Ande<\/a>, one of the co-founders of REMHAI, knows all about what it means to be supported\u2013\u2013and perhaps more about what it means\u00a0not to be supported.<\/p>\n \u201cOne of the biggest challenges we face as a company is the lack of mentors and guides,\u201d Ande told Moguldom.com<\/em>. \u201cAnd it\u2019s much harder in the minority community. We are taking a risk with our own money, not what was passed down from past generations.\u201d<\/p>\n Born in Ethiopia, Ande, 30, is the first generation in his family to go out and risk everything for a belief or passion, he said. \u201cThis means it is harder to get support from family members at times, and harder to gain external resources.\u201d<\/p>\n These challenges didn\u2019t stop\u00a0Ande and his sister, co-founder Lily Andemariam<\/a>, from building a company from the ground up. \u201cWe believe in what we are doing and we\u2019re passionate about our solution to the small business and startup world,\u201d\u00a0Ande says. \u201cYes, it gets hard at times but when you are truly passionate about what you are doing, late nights and early mornings don\u2019t seem that bad anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n
